Thank goodness for statement earrings. In many cases they outshone the dresses at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild awards in Los Angeles. Screen Actor's Guild winner Christina Hendricks from Mad Men rocked rose-cut diamond pendant earrings and a rose-cut diamond ring from Irit Designs. Tina Fey's pendant earrings by Neil Lane linked moonstone, brown diamonds, yellow diamonds and white diamonds in platinum. The designs are from Lane's New Renaissance collection. Patricia Arquette wore Lane's dazzling gold and emerald drops. Eclectic personal style was expressed by many stars. Holly Hunter wore unusual diamond and geode drop earrings by Kimberly McDonald. Others wore diamonds in their hair. Christina Applegate sported a platinum and diamond hairpin by Lorraine Schwartz. Marion Cotillard wove a four row bracelet by Chopard through a loose side knot. The magnificent piece featured 40 carats of emeralds and 22 carats of fancy yellow diamonds. A ravishing Kate Hudson was a knockout coming and going thanks to a Cartier diamond sautoir necklace swinging down her back. She also wore briolette diamond and baguette diamond drop earrings, a 15.65 carat emerald cut diamond ring, and a diamond cocktail ring, all from Cartier.
