What's not to Love about a bracelet for charity?

By Bernadette Morra

June 11 is Cartier Loveday meaning that 10 per cent of all sales of the iconic Love collection goes to charity.

It’s the fourth year the event has taken place. But giving isn’t simply an annual thing at Cartier. Throughout the year, the French luxury house designates proceeds from its LoveCharity bracelets to a variety of causes.

Since launching the initiative in 2006, Cartier has donated more than $4.5 million U.S. to 24 global charities from the sales of its LoveCharity bracelet.

To celebrate this year’s initiative,  LoveCharity Ambassador Eva Mendes joined Cartier North America President & CEO, Frédéric de Narp and The Art of Elysium Founder, Jennifer Howell at the Cartier mansion in New York. There they announced a new LoveCharity bracelet to benefit 24 charities including The Art of Elysium.

“Cartier has a profound dedication to philanthropy -- it is an integral part of the brand’s DNA and part of that includes our passion to support important organizations,” de Narp stated.

The new LoveCharity bracelet features a miniature Love bracelet in 18K rose gold with a diamond and graced with the word Love.  It is set into a knotted silk cord available in various colors, with each cord designating support of a unique cause.

The LoveCharity bracelet is available for $700 U.S. at Cartier boutiques nationwide with $150 per bracelet benefiting its corresponding charity.  The charities Cartier continues to support this year and their Ambassadors include:
